Carifac'Arte opens its doors to Rai Tre's cameras

The cameras of Rai Tre’s much followed national program, Officina Italia, in Carifac'Arte, the international school of art professions, an instrumental company of the Carifac Foundation in Fabriano. The appointment with the program broadcast, made in recent days, was aired on May 23 at 1:25 pm on Rai Tre.
Officina Italia is a program created by TGR to explore the Made in Italy excellences through stories and protagonists, also seeking to find out new talents. And this is what happened at Carifac'Arte, precisely at the Le Conce complex in Fabriano, where a footage showing the creation of the handmade sheet of paper and the watermarked paper was shot, for which Art a dossier for the inclusion in the UNESCO Intangible Heritage List has been submitted. Our master paper makers and watermarkers accompanied the troupe on a fascinating journey, the result of experiences gained over many years which have made Fabriano the city of paper par excellence. Emphasis was placed on the preservation of ancient crafts, the enhancement and the handing down of secrets and techniques.
The program met with great interest. “The Covid-19 pandemic has slowed down activities within the international school, but could not stop them. The work is being planned, with all the safety measures for the protection of the health of our masters and of those who intend to purchase the products in our shop.
Of course, ecommerce is being enhanced. Participations are being planned at national and international trade fairs in the sector where our stands are always the most visited. There are several projects we are carrying out, starting with the Unesco candidacy and we strongly believe that all our activities related to paper and watermark can restart", commented Marco Ottaviani, president of the Carifac Foundation.
